What We Do
ChemE Cube
ChemE Cube is an annual student competition where undergraduate university teams design, build, and demonstrate a 1 cubic foot plant to produce a chemistry defined in the annual problem statement. Our team competed at the 2023 National Competition where the problem statement was direct air capture of CO2. They won First Place and the Entrepreneur Award!
ChemE Car
AIChE's annual Chem-E-Car Competition® engages college students in designing and constructing a car powered by a chemical energy source, that will safely run a specific given distance and stop. Our team recently competed at the 2024 Southern Regional Conference, winning 4th place and advancing to compete at the National Conference this fall!
Conference Travel
We encourage our students to attend AIChE's Regional and the National Conference! Last fall, we were able to take 22 students, ranging from freshman to seniors, to the 2023 National Conference in Orlando, FL.
We host various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for our organization! Our recent fundraisers include Krispy Kreme, percent nights, and Pie a Professor!
We believe in developing our members professionally and academically. To achieve this, we organize workshops and hold panels with industry professionals. These events help our members learn about different career paths and develop their professional skills.
We also emphasize the importance of having fun, social networking, and community building. We organize various social events throughout the year, where members can interact with each other and build lasting connections.

Social Events
We give back to the community wherever we can. Our main community event is volunteering at the CEC Open House geared toward kindergarten through 12th grade students to experience how interesting and exciting engineering is. We run a cornstarch pool station for kids to play in and learn about non-newtonian fluids!
